SCHOOLS EDUCATIONAL RAINFOREST WORKSHOP
Is your School learning about the Rainforest and looking for something amazing to capture the children's imaginations?

Louie's Jungle Schools educational visit was created to support teaching about rainforests, endangered species and conservation for classes from age 5 to 11.
​
Our visit aims to provide primary school children with an insightful introduction to, and understanding the importance of, the south east Asian rainforest’s and wildlife within the rainforest, focusing towards Orangutans. Exploring the rainforests of Sumatra and Borneo we hope that your pupils will understand how important it is to protect this precious ecosystem, and become inspired to help us in our mission to help save the Orangutan species and its forest home.

We are putting together a unique educational workshop for 2022.
Help Louie wants to offer assemblies and workshops to schools across the Uk. Our aim is to raise awareness of the issue of Global deforestation and the impact on biodiversity, with consideration of the iconic Orangutan and to empower young people to get involved in taking action. Workshops are age appropriate and cater for pupils from Foundation Phase through to KS4.
Our visit will aims to provide basic introduction to the issue of climate change and explore why our forests are important. The workshops are solution focused and highlight how pupils have the power to protect rainforests both collectively and individually; for example, altering purchasing habits. Our aim is to empower pupils with the knowledge that their individual and collective action can create positive change in the world.
As we place an emphasis on empowerment and positive action we try and get the pupils/school to create a simple fundraising event/rainforest day of action after our visit, we can help with the process of organising an event during the visit and will point towards organisations to help develop your ideas. We can help encourage you to choose which one of our projects you wish to support.
Towards the end of our visit your pupils will get the opportunity to meet Louie (the UK’s first and only realistic male Orangutan, with animatronic facial expressions and live puppeteer inside).
